Planning a Maternity photoshoot in Carmel Valley? This will give you all the inspiration you need! These pregnancy portraits were taken in Garland Ranch Regional Park with Krystal, and we had a lovely adventure to go with them. When Krystal first contacted me I asked if she had a preference for a style of Maternity shoot, whether beach, forest, etc. She wanted a forest aesthetic and so I recommend Garland Ranch, the perfect backdrop for several different beautiful maternity portraits! Right away we got off to a good start, it was a warm day in Carmel Valley but I know how to find the perfect lighting in nice shade. I started on my usual tour of Garland Ranch, hitting some beautiful spots in the river, the field, and the little rustic area. I popped on my vintage lenses to capture that magical glowing haze when backlighting Krystal against the glowing field and got some truly enchanting portraits. 

The journey continues! We got further into the forest and the soft magical photos began to materialize as though they were always there, just waiting for us to find them.
