Looking for a Maternity Photographer in Big Sur? You came to the right place! Jessica reached out to me for her session and I’m so glad she did! I suggest we do the maternity portraits at Garrapata Beach in Big Sur and we all agreed on the time and place. Of course the weather being unpredictable in Big Sur means that the clouds came in and covered most of the sky - but I was happy about this, because we started early enough that it was plenty bright and the clouds meant we had some soft lighting and could face in any direction!  I started with some poses and portraits showing off the baby bump on the bluffs over the beach, descended down through Calle Lily Valley for some amazing pregnancy portraits, and then we ended up at the beach in time for sunset. Lucky us, the sun happened to pop out from behind the clouds and we ended up getting the best of both worlds!  Quickly getting over to my favorite rock for some crashing waves, I got some of my most stunning Big Sur Maternity photos yet! Back home and in editing I realized I had a lot of options with the style for these photos, so I did a mix of deep dramatic and cinematic style, vibrant colors, and even through in some of my “faded warm vintage” look towards the end for some sunset photos. I got a mix of everything from dramatic wide angle shots of the couple to close warm shots of the mom to be. Check out the photos!
