When Nathan reached out to me for their engagement photos, I was so excited with their vision. They wanted to do the photos in a vintage setting, preferably a hotel or art museum, something I don’t get to do nearly as often as the traditional beach and forest settings (although I still absolutely love those). The first problem was we needed to find some places that we could do this, that would match the vibe they had in mind for their vintage engagment photography in the Monterey area. Next I had to make sure these locations would let us shoot there! I did a little research and came back with a couple perfect spots. We ended up doing engagement photos at La Playa Hotel and then more photos at the Pine Inn.

I got some absolutely AMAZING vintage hotel shots at both these spots, I’m in love with these venues! Photos at La Playa included their incredible bar area which reminded me of the Shining, and the lobby with its winding staircase, and the beautiful grounds outside. The Pine Inn had its own unique charm with the beautiful red velvety colors everywhere.
